El Gallad Furniture is a leading Egyptian designer, manufacturer and retailer of world-class furniture. The company was founded in Damietta as a small workshop with two workers in 1975 by Mohamed El Gallad, who had started his career 16 years earlier as an assistant carpenter. At the outset, Mr. El Gallad was determined to make his way and to leave his own mark in the one area he valued the most. His main objective was to offer clients high quality products, with innovative designs, and most importantly, at an excellent value for money. El Gallad grew and expanded throughout the years. In 1996, he launched his new factory, on a total area of 3000sqm and employing around 70 workers. Today, El Gallad factory occupies an area of 14,000sqm, with a production capacity area of around 25,000sqm, and employs 500 employees. It has provided top-class furniture to top international hotel chains, resorts, government ministries' offices, private palaces, universities and Presidential offices in Egypt and the MENA region.
